pi-top [4] + Foundation Kit (DEV-16827)

UNLOCK A WORLD OF INVENTION.

DESIGN. CODE. MAKE.

pi-top [4] is a new game-changing, programmable computing device that combines digital making, coding and practical projects. With pi-top [4], educators, students and inventors get to design, code and make anything they can imagine using one simple, easy-to-use system. From beginner to superuser, pi-top powers your projects and brings learning into the real world.

FOUNDATION COMPONENTS AND KITS.

Every pi-top [4] comes with a Foundation Kit, an electronics ‘bento box’ containing 14 components including programmable sensors, buttons and LEDs. Get started right away by learning the basics of coding and physical computing, then continue your learning by progressing into guided lesson plans in advanced coding, robotics, cybersecurity and AI.

WHAT WILL YOU MAKE?

pi-top [4] is an awesome platform for invention and tackling real-world challenges. Attach it to a drone or weather balloon for a bird’s eye view, connect moisture sensors to record environmental changes, wear it to measure movement and motion and use it to control everything from robotic vehicles to stage lights. What you invent is entirely up to you.

CONNECT [4].

You can easily connect pi-top [4] to your existing Windows, Apple and Chromebook computers, making deploying code and retrieving results easy. Third-party products like LEGO and Arduino are also supported; and with Raspberry Pi GPIO connectivity as standard, you have instant access to thousands of free projects, components and resources.

ACCESS A WORLD OF APPS.

Every pi-top [4] comes with the latest operating system, pi-topOS SIRIUS. Built on the rock-solid foundations of Raspbian (Buster), it’s packed with features and sports a clean, crisp look and feel.

There's a whole range of apps; from Scratch 3 and Mu for coding to GIMP for image editing and Sonic Pi for making music. There’s even access to cool games like Minecraft Raspberry Pi edition.

Includes:

What's in the box?

Every pi‑top [4] comes with 14 pi-top component modules comprising programmable sensors, buttons and LEDs to bring your inventions to life. You connect these to your pi‑top [4] using a Foundation Plate that fits snuggly underneath it. The Foundation Plate is a beginner level plate that lets you connect LEDs, sensors and potentiometers to make circuits, games and electronic systems.
